Tile floors on top of concrete (or stone?) may be cold in the winter, but they’re perfect for keeping cool in the summer! When one spot gets warm, you just get up and move to a new, cool spot.
On concrete I think. But, you see, Tosca has to find the cool spot that allows for opportunistic jaw placement should any scraps fall her way. Oh she’ll move, but not with great spirit. She’ll quite happily sit on tile that has been warmed by her somewhat large belly right underneath my cutting board as I trim a roast or cube some beef.
