Before the villa. Before my new office in the hallway. Before the pasture. Before the cows. Before the crazy kids. Before the crazy Americans.
This photo was taken by a flying deal. We know people who fly deals, so maybe we shall grab another shot. But. what a difference. Vines gone, cows grazing, villa adding life and food to families. Pasture very green. Working on a “no hay” system. It takes patience and careful management. A great year for green in the summer.
Oh my, what a huge amount of pasture you have, it just grows and grows out there, your steaks must be exceptional.. nice old shot.. c
I’m so happy to see what was and now is. Land ever changing.
the way it should be.. c
There’s an extra house built since then.
and a few trees gone from the big wind storm of 2008 ( or was it 2009 )
It’s cool looking back to see where you’ve come from. That’s a great shot of your cow half hidden by lucerne! I had a guy fly over our place in a helicopter to take aerial photos and made a large photo book for my husband as a gift. It was done in Feb. when the trees were still bare and we could see everything clearly. But we don’t have any “before” shots.
I’m really glad we have this photo. We look at it to see how the pastures were back then. Yes, and the lucerne is doing well this year. We graze or cut and it grows so quickly.
That’s Hottie in the lucerne. Her real name is Hot 100.
